Write user and product documentation for consumer products. Content of the documentation may include user instructions and troubleshooting guides as well as statutory safety and regulatory information and maintenance and cleaning information.
Work closely with the new product introduction, design, and product management teams to understand forthcoming new products, features, and functions and create, revise, or update existing documentation accordingly.
Assist the User Experience team with gaining knowledge on new products by providing them with the user and product information.
Liaise with the Compliance team to ensure safety and regulatory statements contained in the documentation are kept up to date.
Support processes to ensure correct documentation is provided with each product.
Coordinate translation of documentation through a 3rd party translation agency as required.
Coordinate production of documentation through a 3rd party agency as required.
Maintain the documentation library and version control.
Ensure appropriate parts of the business (e.g. Service Technicians) have easy access to the latest documentation.
Maintain standardised terminology, writing, and design styles in line with Marketing strategy.
You will have in-depth knowledge of writing instructions/guide manuals within the Consumer Durable sector
Ideally, you will have transitioned into digital instructions/guide manuals
Using relevant software is a key aspect
Being intuitive and hands-on with the various products is a must
A technical degree with experience within Authoring
