Teaching Assistant for a Specialist SEND School in Liverpool (Fazakerley, L9)

The school caters for children aged 5-15 with learning disabilites including Autism, Asperger’s, Down Syndrome and other moderate to severe learning difficulties.

The school is based upon values which include the belief that every child should have the opportunity to learn and experience new challenges in a supportive environment through delivering a highly personalised and supportive curriculum, whilst also encouraging independence.

The school is looking for strong teaching assistants with a great work ethic and fantastic communication skills to come and work on a full time basis, initially you will be working through the agency but after a couple of weeks trial, you will be offered the chance to interview for one of the permanent vacancies at the school.

Throughout the process, you will be guided and supported by me (Dan) and TeacherActive as we take you through our initial interview and registration process and throughout the temp-to-perm transition if successful with the school. The ideal Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience working/volunteering with children.
Experience with SEND.
Great communication skills.
The initiative, ability and desire to creatively support students in lessons.
The ability to build great relationships with the staff and pupils.
A great work ethic.
