The Teaching Assistant:
For this Teaching Assistant position, you must have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. It is important that you have experience working with primary aged pupils in a classroom environment. You should be an excellent communicator with strong classroom management skills and a good knowledge of the national curriculum. You must be a Teaching Assistant with a good knowledge of a range of SEN, so you can provide effective support for children with additional needs.
The Teaching Assistant Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be providing in-class support for teachers, primarily in KS1. You will be working with children on the SEND register with Autism, complex learning difficulties and additional needs who require extra support. You will be differentiating work to match their level of ability, such that they are sufficiently challenged. You will be assisting teachers with behaviour management, providing intervention support and learning support. You should be a Teaching Assistant with experience working with phonics and numeracy schemes.

You must be a Teaching Assistant who can help contribute towards creating a nurturing, stimulating environment for children to learn in.
