ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the North West

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to provide housing related support to vulnerable people in the St Helens area providing a person centred support package that is tailor made to each individual accessing the service to facilitate access to accommodation and provide intensive housing related support to service users.

You will be working with a team that provides a service to people with offending backgrounds

As a Support Worker your duties will include:

Conducting support visits within the clients own home

Supporting service users in developing the skills required to maintain their tenancies, enabling them to re-establish themselves in the community and move on to independent living.

Dealing with any tenancy related issues including the reporting of any repairs, housing benefits and rents.

Liaising with local agencies and assisting service users to access employment or education services.

To apply for this position, candidates must have previous experience of working within a floating support service or 24 hour supported accommodation service providing support to a range of vulnerable adults.

Candidates should also have a current, enhanced DBS certificate, a driving license and access to their own transport

If candidates do not hold a valid DBS Certificate they must be willing to apply for one

All offers will be subject to DBS and reference checks

This is a full time position with an immediate start, Monday – Friday, working to a rota with hours between 9am-5pm
