About the role
John is 33 years old. He has a moderate learning disability, downs syndrome and autistic traits. John enjoys activities in his home that relate to a sensory need. John loves listening to 1950's music and Buddy Holly in particular. He enjoys going for walks and watching films on his iPad. John needs team members that are patient and calm and will offer him lots os reassurance.
Within PBS4, we call Support Workers 'Enablement Assistants'. As an Enablement Assistant you will have the support of a team of people dedicated to supporting that person. You will also be able to access support from the Enablement Manager, Deputy Enablement Manager and the Positive Behaviour Support Clinician who provide you and the team with management and leadership.

Ideally, you will have experience working with people with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that may challenge. Experience in Makaton is also advantageous. However, if you share our values, we will be happy for you to apply. You must be a driver with a valid driving license and access to a vehicle
