This senior role will have the responsibility to support the UK based engineering design teams working on Australian based projects from the UK. The role focuses on developing business opportunities and building and strengthening our clients' modelling business through the delivery of projects and technical leadership, coaching and mentoring colleagues, whilst offering innovative solutions for our internal, existing and new clients across local government and private sectors.

The role will offer hybrid working (3/2 day splits); due to the time differences with Australia, being available for early/late calls may be required.

Candidates will ideally live in a commutable distance to our clients' following offices though the roles will be mostly remote working: Leeds, Guildford, Chester, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and York.


Hydraulic modelling of wastewater networks
Model build and calibration
Options analysis of wastewater with assessment of existing problems and recommended solutions / upgrades
Preparation of comprehensive reports
Provide guidance to less experienced modellers who may be assisting with project work or be undertaking other modelling projects
Familiarity with InfoWorks and strong technical skills in a water/wastewater modelling software package
Work with other modellers/designers either as lead or as secondary dependent on projects
Report to Team Leader and through other modellers/designers dependent on whether leading or helping with projects
Lead and assist with wastewater projects
Client Liaison – Develop good business relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure required project outcomes are met and client satisfaction is maintained at a high standard
Business Development – Develop new and repeat business within the APAC business from high-quality project delivery – scope includes preparation of proposals and bids for projects
Project Management – Proven project management, investigation, design and implementation of a range of projects involving water supply, wastewater, stormwater and multidisciplinary projects
Mentoring and Coaching – Provide guidance to junior design engineers on projects and be able to train and mentor them
Technical Leadership – Provide technical input and leadership to projects – Including review QA/QC of project deliverables as either PM, Technical Reviewer or PD as appropriate
Knowledge – Keep knowledge and competencies current, guide staff
Quality Assurance – Preparation of high-quality reports, correspondence and other deliverables
Provide leadership, planning, and coordination of resources for each project including inputs with other offices, and sub consultants.
Responsible for understanding the client's needs and managing the project and the project team to achieve these.
Manage all jobs to deliver them on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.

Ideally civil related qualifications in water or similar
Modelling experience
Infoworks experience desirable
Previous project management desirable
