Principle Electronics Engineer
Are you a highly experienced or Senior Electronics Engineer who is passionate about making a difference in a small team? Do you have the drive to make a difference? We require an excellent Senior Electronics Engineer to join one of the world's leading manufacturing businesses and within the R&D side of their business. This is on a permanent basis located in Southampton.
Design, develop and analyse new high frequency power electronics devices and components. Develop and maintain technical procedures, documents and manuals. Support outsourced projects. Create test protocols to test new designed products and electronics components. Create DFMEAs. Perform worst-case and failure mode analysis. Create and execute engineering change orders. Oversee the work of technicians who provide technical support.
Electrical engineering or computer engineering MS. degree.
Experience of Intel FPGAs and VHDL. Simulation using ModelSim .
Schematic capture using Altium.
Power supply design.
Component level electronics design – including digital, analogue and mixed signal.
Experience designing high voltage ultrasonic transducer drivers.
PCB layout experience beneficial but not essential.
Spice simulation using SIMETRIX, SIMPLIS, TINA etc
Familarity with high frequency piezo transducer design.
– Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 4 to 7 years of relative experience. Proficiency working experience in in analog circuits, digital circuits, high frequency power electronis circuit, microcontrollers and ultrasonic transtusers technologies. Strong familiarity and practical experience with E CAD design tools. Ability to do schematics, PCB layout drawings and schematics simulations. Strong oral communications skills (English). Experience with typical test equipment. Strong skills in electronics circuit problem solving.
