Senior Development Engineer – FullStack

Our client is looking for an experienced senior full stack developer to be responsible for overseeing the company's system technology stack, and supporting the devops pipeline. The responsibilities of the role include writing code and documentation, building and maintaining the devops pipeline and contributing to the design and implementation of the system, with mixed ratios of development responsibilities:

–          40% development (coding)

–          40% devops (scripting, automation)

–          20% documentation and design

To be successful as a senior full stack developer, you should demonstrate great skill in creativity and innovation, and possess excellent communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch senior full stack developer should have extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle, and have strong devops skills.


Performing coding assignments
Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality
Creating and implementing design plans/drawings
Write and scripting automation tools
Lead and control the development standard and workflow
Full ownership of the deployment pipeline, CI/CD, etc


Extensive knowledge of software development and its technologies
Good knowledge of devops
Solid experience in coding
Good knowledge of user interfaces
Good knowledge of web frameworks
Good communication skills
Good time management skills


Must have:

Excellent understanding of Web Application development concepts, experienced in API designs, data management and security
Excellent understanding of Ruby programming language, with experience in commercial projects written in frameworks based on Ruby, Prefer Rails. Can demonstrate confident usage of TDD design pattern
Good understanding of Javascript programming languages, with experience in a commercial project written in frameworks based on Javascript, Prefer ReactJS. Can demonstrate experiences in UI designs/development for real time update applications, using websocket, long polling etc. Prefer experienced in React Hooks.
Excellent understanding of Docker and Docker Compose, with extensive experiences in running services with docker-compose as production/development environments
Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), with extensive experiences in deploying K8s stack to native or cloud hosted platforms.
Good understanding of Devops, experienced in CI/CD automation and scriptings, and good knowledge of disaster management, demonstrate experience in risk control, metrics monitoring/alerting.
Good understanding of Git, with experience in certain popular collaboration patterns of git flows
Nice to have:

Can demonstrate ability to structure and maintain cloud stack via Terraform
Can demonstrate knowledge in operations of GCP services
Can demonstrate usage of k8s deployment toolsets, i.e. HELM
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS
