Resourcing Officer (HR)
Pertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Edinburgh to recruit for a Resourcing Officer in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 12 Months with potential extension.
Due to current circumstances this role will be based remotely.
Day rate: £200 – £290 (Inside IR35)
The role holder will deliver recruitment activity in line with Civil Service Commission Recruitment Principles and organisations policy. As part of the Resourcing team within HROD, they will support the Resourcing Advisers and Resourcing Manager to provide the business with expertise and guidance to maximise resourcing opportunities.
Ensuring day to day recruitment campaigns are run efficiently, accurately and on time whilst managing customer expectations
Providing clear communication, expert advice and guidance to hiring manager for running internal and external recruitment
Handling enquires from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
Operating effectively within and adhering to governance such as the Civil Service Recruitment Principles
Reviewing processes to ensure they are customer centric and efficient
Running recruitment campaigns using the e-recruitment system
Producing resourcing metrics to senior managers and the Civil Service Commission when required
Ensuring recruitment activities are adding value to the business by working with external providers to ensure suitable advertising and selection methods are used
Work effectively with external stakeholders such as recruitment agencies, using the Scottish Government framework, to ensure effective recruitment
Working collaboratively across the HROD team and the organisation to deliver HROD projects that support and enable organisations business transformation
Any other duties or support required to support the overall work of the Resourcing teamEssential criteria
Ability to work with others to deliver recruitment campaigns within a busy environment, ensuring deadlines are met
Experience of collaborating with business areas to understand and interpret their needs
Demonstrable experience in determining appropriate recruitment methods for roles
Experience of administration related to recruitment campaigns
Experience of writing job adverts and role profiles
Experience of working with recruitment agencies within a framework
Experience of working to tight deadlines and under pressure
Use initiative to actively challenge existing ways of working and making improvements
CIPD membership (or working towards)Desirable
Knowledge of the IT and Service Design sectors
Knowledge of Civil Service Recruitment (under the Civil Service Recruitment Principles)
Previous experience of using an applicant tracking system (ATS), specifically Cornerstone on Demand (CSOD)
Working knowledge of employment types and IR35 legislation
Knowledge of Civil Service Success Profiles
Understanding of succession planningCandidates are required to have a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate or be willing to get one
