Salary: £41,500 to £48,500 (Please note the salaries quoted in this advertisement are effective from April 2023)

Bonus: on target bonus of £3,500 per annum (Bonus payments received every 6 months)

Hours: 37 hours per week

Time Recruitment are working alongside a leading private provider of residential care for children who have an exciting opportunity for a Residential Manager at their York based Children's Home.

As the manager of the home, you will hold registration with Ofsted and oversee the running of service maintaining a strong working relationship as part of a multi-disciplinary team that specialise in providing the best outcomes for the young people who reside here. If you have experience of working therapeutically it is advantageous but not essential. You will have responsibility for recruitment, training, supervision, placements, care plans, audits, budgets and working with multidisciplinary teams.

Main duties but not limited too:

* Promote and ensure the delivery of a safe and Ofsted compliant home that is underpinned by a structured and nurturing environment.

* To actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the young people within your care.

* To contribute to the development of appropriate relationships with and between staff, young people, families and other stakeholders including education, health and therapy.

* To ensure there is a multi-disciplinary approach to providing positive outcomes for young people and lead/chair meetings pertaining to the care of young people.

* To promote appropriate relationships between staff and young people and their families, promoting the children and young people's involvement and participation in the day-to-day life of the Home.

* To respond immediately to any unsafe practices and conditions.


Essential Criteria:

* QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare/Level 3 Diploma Children and Young People's Workforce

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services in the children and young people's residential management pathway (either obtained or willing to work towards)

* Experience at Manager/Deputy level specifically within a residential home for children.
