Build Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading children's and youth charity based in London to make the key appointment of Property and Estates Manager. £50k – £60k (Fixed Term Contract of 18-24 months).

With a portfolio of Commercial, Retail, Residential, multi-purpose Community Hubs, and a large greenfield space, working closely with their community, this charity provides Breakfast and After School clubs, and half-term holiday clubs as well as working with and supporting young adults and families.

As a key and senior position within the charity, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Property and Estates Manager will be instrumental in facilitating and driving change during this critical yet ambitious period of redevelopment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the letting of all commercial/residential investment property, liaising with external advisors as required.
Planning and managing the decanting of groups and tenants from one of the sites, and staff redundancies, in preparation for redevelopment.
Identifying, assessing and realising opportunities to increase income and profit from property/building related activities
Managing specific property/building development projects, including shaping projects, liaising with external suppliers/contractors, budget management, ensuring work is completed to quality standards etc.

As a non-for-profit organisation, maximising and growing income from their Community Hubs and Commercial / Retail properties is key to the success of this role.

About you:

Ideally educated to Degree level in a Construction, Property or Estates Management related subject
Experience of managing closure of sites, including decanting tenants and staff redundancies, and dealing with security issues
Extensive experience of growing and generating income from property/buildings (e.g., commercial lettings, residential lettings, retail), including sales, customer relations and business planning
Ideally have experience of working within the charity sector
