Would you be competent working in a customer facing role working as a Project Engineer assisting customers from a technical standpoint advising on the best materials for the customer to use in their manufacturing processes?

The basics
Project Engineer Polymers
Salary: £49,000 to £52,000 DOE
Location: An expectation to be able to attend the office at our Warrington based manufacturing facility however working from home and attending customers that have plants across the UK, with some European travel (Not frequent).
Hours: Monday to Friday 40hr week. Flexible to suit customers
Environment: Manufacturing

Overview:
With manufacturing facilities located across the globe, we now require a Project Engineer to join the team working in a home based role with weekly attendance to the office and plant based in Warrington.
The company manufacture polymers for some leading industries across the world.
Key responsibilities of the Project Engineer
-Provides high quality, effective technical support to customers
-Resolves technical customer complaints in a timely manner.
-Advises and supports in selecting and processing materials, for new projects/materials in cooperation with the Customers Project Manager
-Conducts regular visits at customer plants.
-Develop strong relationship at plant level and local technical departments, to learn customer needs, to identify business opportunities and to propose solutions, if required attends trials to support the customer.
-Works closely together with Sales, New Business Development and Product & Application Development .
-Work with customers to ensure the effective introduction of new products through trial/testing support and promotion of product's benefits. Translate laboratory and business support development projects into meaningful value propositions for customers.
-Acts as project owner for agreed customer specific projects.

The ideal Project Engineer will have as many of the following in order to strengthen application:
-Strong understanding and background in Polymers educated/degree
-Experience working in the polymer industry
-Strong communication and customer facing skills as this is a customer facing role
-Driving license
-IT skills windows packages
Commutable from: Warrington, Liverpool, Manchester, Northwich, St Helens, Wigan, Crewe, Preston and surrounding areas.
