Be responsible for engineering work packages and act as a primary focal for all technical matters.
Engage with the customers on a regular basis to ensure consensus on the technical approach, path to certification / clearance / acceptance and a well-established understanding on the delivery milestones and expectations
Work with other engineering functions, provide technical oversight, ensure they fully understand and deliver to the project schedule and quality requirements
Engage with the stakeholders (both internal and external) to identify project requirements, ensure compliance with agreed processes and achievement of project delivery objectives.
Perform trade studies and develop alternative design concepts that are aimed at sustainability
Carry out investigation on alternative material solutions and support production related issues
Generate, review and issue engineering documentation that supports the investigation, trade studies and solution proposals
Review ground and flight test data to generate insights and a potential way-forward
Plan and schedule engineering reviews of artefacts, technical approach with due considerations to safety and airworthiness.
Organise and conduct engineering change review boards, manage engineering changes and ensure engineering artefacts are under change control
Support failure investigations, generate, review, and approve change, conformance and failure documentation, maintaining perspective on the project and system requirements.
Manage technical risks and opportunities that may have a direct / indirect effect on the delivery of the project.
Good appreciation for Systems or Mechanical Engineering
Appreciation for reliability, maintainability, availability and sustainability of aerospace systems
Able to work with others and build trusted partnership
Able to communicate well and articulate technical solutions to customers and internal stakeholders
Proactive and self-motivated individuals to drive the project by leading from the front
