Salary – £36000 with the option of plenty of overtime for those who want it
HOURS – DAY SHIFT 38 hours spread over Mon – Fri (with early lunchtime finish each Friday)

OVERVIEW
A busy manufacturer based outside of Glasgow are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join their team.

As the Production Engineer you will be working in Front End Engineering team utilising the latest generation of preproduction tools and software to provide production with laser paste programs, pick and place programs and AOI programs.

The key aspects of this role are:
To assist in analysing and processing customer supplied manufacturing and technical data prior to the manufacturing process.
The preferred candidate would have some experience of design for manufacturing processes and/or Engineering with CAD/CAM experience; however, requalification training can be provided for the successful candidate.

Strong knowledge of design for manufacturing is key for this role and providing support at the front end whilst working collaboratively with customers.

The Key Responsibilities of the Production Engineer will be: –

You will be required to become proficient with product, processes, and equipment, to produce tooling, documentation and production tooling for customer production route cards.

To panelise customer data to generate all necessary tooling required for production purposes.

Produce all required Production toolinq optimisinq efficiency and repeatability understand Quality Assurance QA, material, and PCB specification requirements.

Carry out Design for Manufacture (DFM) analysis within software systems.

Liaise with customers to resolve any issues.

Liaise with Production, QA, and management with the introduction of new products (NPI).

Communicate clearly in written and verbal format to all levels.

Improve yields by participatinq with process improvement exercises, analysis of failures. Understand and work to meet departmental KPI's as key business performance indicators.
