Procurement Manager

Purpose of the role – To manage the Indirect Procurement Activities of defined areas of responsibility

Location – Winfrith, Dorset
Employment status – Permanent

Knowledge, skills and personal qualities required for the Procurement Manager role;

Manage Procurement spend for HR, IT, Infrastructure and Facilities including Leases
To deliver a high level procurement service to both internal and external customers
Lead and manage the end to end Procurement process for allocated areas
Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand long term business requirements for indirect spend
Manage high value capital procurements
Identification, assessment and management of procurement risks for allocated categories
Adhere to and guide stakeholders in regards to legislative and corporate compliance
Actively assist in developing AEUK supply chain maturity and performance

The Person;

Experience of establishing and managing procurement contracts
Project Management skills
Strong Commercial skills with a good understanding of terms and conditions and the ability to draft and develop contracts
Ability to forge strong working relationships with peers and other colleagues
Experience of implementing Category management strategies
Ability to liaise and influence key Stakeholders.
Good understanding of Category Management
Supplier relationship and performance management
Experience of Risk management

Qualifications and skills;

Degree in relevant subject or experience in similar role or equivalent is desirable
Project management qualification desirable
Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office

Other requirements;

Candidates must hold or be able to achieve the required level of security clearance
