A world's leading independent provider of fire safety glass for timber, steel, and aluminum is looking for a Process Engineer to join its team in St. Helens.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, lead, supervise and undertake controlled production process trials

* Industrialization of new products and processes, from design through to handover to Operations

* Manage the design, costing, installation, start-up, commissioning, and handover of new equipment, processes, and support with production lines, and factories

* Effective management of changes to existing processes

* Assessment of equipment capability throughout manufacturing feasibility review

* Support the wider team to develop and improve SOPs alongside quality control measures for the site, to maximize both the qualitative and quantitative output from the manufacturing facility

* Contribute to the creation and upkeep of process documentation

You will need:

* Chemical and/or mechanical process engineering skills

* Capability for hands-on problem solving and delivery on new product and process innovation

* Demonstrable experience managing and supporting engineering projects on time and on budget

* Good at building relationships with internal and external customers

* Pro-active with a can-do attitude

* Experience in a glass or chemical processing environment is desirable

Qualifications:

* HND or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

* 3 years of relevant experience

* Experience developing and handling new manufacturing processes
