Working in partnership with a prestigious, established on Birkenhead Docks, we are currently recruiting a reliable, proven and dedicated Pipe Fitter. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an Employer of Choice that offers career progression, training opportunities and great pay.

Shift pattern / Working hours.

Monday – Friday

Mon – Thu 08:00 – 16:30, Fri 08:00 – 14:30

Job description

· Must be proficient in fabricating using various procedures, marking off, accurate dimensional control, cutting using thermal or mechanical processes, production and assembly of components, assembly of units and construction meeting specific standards, attain welding standards to meet company specifications.

· Responsible for the preparation and assembly of components, units etc. prior to fabricating.

· Will apply practical fabricating skills, in all procedures, materials and techniques that are required.

· Knowledgeable in ship repair, shipbuilding and or heavy engineering including factory maintenance.

· Follow instructions and advice of supervisors; make a positive contribution in the production process.

· Must successfully complete trade qualification tests to meet company, client and classification society requirements and specifications.

· Must learn and follow all health and safety procedures required to keep yourself and others safe through adherence of statutory regulations and the correct use of relevant PPE.

· Will follow instruction and advice of Line Managers and Heads of Department to make a positive contribution to the workplace.

· Must comply with any reasonable request made by Management.

· Must undertake relevant training and development as required.

· Must successfully complete trade qualification tests to meet company, client and classification society requirements and specifications.
