MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS – DAYS REGULAR NO SHIFTS OR DOUBLE DAYS (LIVERPOOL): £32K DAYS ROLES MONDAY TO FRIDAY OFFICE HOURS, £36K DOUBLE DAY SHIFTS PLUS EXCELLENT BENEFITS INLUDING BONUS, EXCEPTIONAL PENSION SCHEME 3% EMPLOYEE / 8% EMPLOYER), PRIVATE HEALTHCARE, LIFE ASSURANCE AND MORE. Our client is an established international name in their industry with over 50 years of experience in their field of manufacturing household brands and products for various manufactuirng industries including chemicals and food & beverage. We are presently seeking severla maintenance engineers for this client to support activities at their growing Liverpool site, reporting into the Maintenance Manager.
Purpose of the Role
Maintain production equipment, including liquid mixing, filling equipment and powder handling with a working knowledge of process control systems. Performing planned and preventative maintenance schedules for key equipment resources, organisation of engineering works orders and contribute knowledge and expertise in projects. Involvement in site engineering standards.
Additional accountabilities include:
Safety, Health, & Environmental
Ensure you are working to the site and business SHE standards
Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the site safety systems
Understanding of the likely failure modes and implement preventative maintenance.
Understanding of the business priorities and liaising with the site manufacturing team.
Identifying and assessing equipment and systems that are to be designated critical equipment.
Ensuring that schedules of inspection dates are kept and managed.
Ability to interrogate data in order to set action in place to improve.
Apply Lean and Asset Care Excellence techniques – Root Cause Analysis,
Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure legal compliance, minimise lifecycle costs and ensure business targets are achieved whilst maintaining safe engineering practices
Skills and Experience Required
Experience of manufacturing plant maintenance
Excellent people skills, the ability to work closely with production and engineering staff
Experience of modern engineering improvement techniques beneficial
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong commitment to HSE standards
Ability to demonstrate working under initiative and think things through to solution
IT literate – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Mechanically or Electrically time served
Appropriate Technical Qualification – City & Guilds, NVQ3, HNC
IT literate – Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good analytical and numeric ability
