Our client is an established IT Support and Telecoms Company. A vacancy has arisen for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join their hardworking and dedicated team on their Helpdesk in Hastings, East Sussex.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in a technical support/helpdesk environment, possess experience of Windows Server and Microsoft Hyper-V as well as Desktop OS troubleshooting and Third-Party Software troubleshooting. As an IT Support Engineer, you will be exposed to a range of business environments and requirements, delivering high level of service providing IT support and dealing with Server, Cloud and VoIP technology.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
Demonstrable experience in a technical support/helpdesk environment
Experience of Windows Server – deployment and troubleshooting including Active Director and Group Policy
Microsoft Hyper-V configuration and administration experience
Desktop OS troubleshooting as well as Third Party Software troubleshooting e.g. Sage, Quickbooks
Planning, deployment and support of VoIP Systems
Routers, Switches and vLans networking
DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP Transport troubleshooting
Microsoft 365 configuration – Deployment and migration including Sharepoint, Exchange and Endpoint Manager
Project planning, execution, and completion
Your duties as an IT Support Engineer will include:
Troubleshooting windows desktop, server and VoIP
Delivering 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support
Delivering high levels of customer service by phone and face to face
Day to day jobs can vary significantly
