HR Business Advisor
£35,000 (up to £40,000 for experienced candidates), up to £20.51 per hour, whilst temporary
Plus many benefits available once permanent – listed further down
Location: Hamble, Nr. Southampton, Hampshire – temporary opportunity initially, with the opportunity of a permanent contract for the right candidate
Hours: 37.5 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, some flexibility required on occasions
Opportunity to work from home 2 days per week

The role:

Providing generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees in defined business areas on a range of people management activities including strategy, talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management and development, employee relations, employee engagement and reward.

To provide an efficient operational HR service to the defined business areas including timely processing and communication for new hires, promotions, transfers or other changes to Terms & Conditions, and maintenance of accurate HR data.

The role is part of the HR team supporting their specific functions and areas and will include working in collaboration with other HR colleagues on projects related to functional HR and business objectives.

Due to the size of the workforce, skill levels and pace of the roles, there is a strong emphasis on employee relations, so ideally suitable candidates will have demonstrable experience in this area, so they can hit the ground running and very quickly become a valued member of the HR team.

Suitable candidates will have experience in the following:

* MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Team, PowerPoint and Outlook.
* HR information systems experience (Oracle HCM would be advantageous)
* Up to date knowledge of UK employment law
* Ability to build and develop relationships with stakeholders
* Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively at all levels
* Strong influencing skills and the ability to work under pressure
* Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
* Full, current driving licence, in case of requirement to travel
* Requirement to work irregular hours on occasions to suit the needs of a 24/7 business, for example starting at midday and working until 8 pm, in order to be available for HR matters with the night shift. there is the opportunity to split shifts, if this helps support work/ life balance
* Relevant HR experience including advising and guiding managers on people management
* Ideally will have experience of participating or leading HR projects
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment

It would be advantageous to have:

* CIPD professional qualification at level 5 as a minimum, is desirable
