Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEND

Empowering Learning are currently looking for graduates with a passion for supporting children or young adults with additional needs. Would you like to spend the next academic year enhancing your skills in the classroom and learning how to help pupils with such needs as dyslexia, severe learning difficulties, autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, social and emotional mental health and other special needs. We offer ongoing training to all graduates, which will give you the opportunity to learn more about special educational needs and how to manage and support pupils in the classroom.

You will utilise all your skills in a classroom environment, observing the class teacher and working with low and high achieving pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. This will allow you to build relationships with staff and students as you gain the confidence to explore different teaching techniques.

This inspirational role gives graduates an excellent chance to learn in the classroom while being paid on a weekly basis. We offer flexible working so you can work full-time or part-time to work around your studies if you are still at university. We are currently supporting a school in particular based in Wandsworth, so the ideal candidateS will live within the borough or the surrounding boroughs.
