The Graduate Engineer, reporting to the Project Manager, will work as part of a team on a major infrastructure project who are responsible for ensuring the project deliverables are carried out to a professional level, on time and to budget whilst maintaining our high standards of Health and Safety and quality.
The successful candidate will build an excellent relationship with the other members of the operations team. A self-disciplined and organised approach is required; project deadlines must be understood and met.
This is a site-based role, based in a major London terminal undergoing. redevelopment.
This is a 1-year fixed term appointment with the possibility to extend.
Develop safe systems of work, method statements and quality documents: ITPs, Quality Plans, etc.
Ensure that all materials used in the works are in accordance with the specifications; Carry out day-to-day management of the site operations working closely with the site supervisor;
Plan the works efficiently and organise plant and material as required;
Oversea quality control, ensure the works are constructed as per the specification and design documents;
Ensure the site activities are planned and executed in a safe manner.
Working as part of the site management team you will be expected to liaise with the other members including; project managers, supervisors, planners, subcontractors and surveyors.
Must hold a CSCS card to the required level;
Knowledge of piling/geotechnical works;
Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word & Excel);
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Persistence and determination;
Ability to use your initiative; Attention to detail;
Ability to organise your time and workload;
Flexible work approach;
Full driving license;
Proven experience within a similar role
