Float Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary – Various departments
Covering multiple offices in Hampshire

A highly reputable law firm with a strong presence across the South are seeking a Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to support various departments across multiple offices in Hampshire.
The successful Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant will provide full secretarial support to the fee earners in various teams and will have the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skills across a variety of legal areas. Specific departmental cover will be required within Conveyancing, Private Client, Commercial and Family (alongside any other ad hoc departments).
The chosen candidate will be responsible for:
Extensive and complex electronic diary management
Preparation of contentious documentation to include court documentation
Use of a digital dictation system for the production of dictated documentation
Handling property transactions including SDLT returns, searches, completion statements etc
Handling enquiries from clients and other parties
Opening and administering client files
Researching and collating witness statements, reports and other legal documentation
The ideal candidate:
Will be an experienced legal secretary, legal assistant or legal PA with a background in a range of legal disciplines including conveyancing, private client, family and commercial work.
Ideally will have some litigation experience also.
A float secretary / assistant would be ideal for this position.
Must have audio speeds of 65wpm with experience using digital dictation systems
Should be au fait with using Outlook for diary management
Must be confident and sensitive in dealing with difficult matters
Have strong IT skills in the full remit of Microsoft Office software and case management systems
Have a polished and professional approach
Must have a full UK driving licence for travel between offices
