We are currently looking for someone to join our Finance team, based in Coventry as a Finance Officer To support the Senior Finance Officer in delivering the company’s financial services. The successful candidate will be joining a leading not-for-profit organization that provides independent living services to people with disabilities and health care needs nationwide.

Location: Head Office, Coventry CV3 3GU (Current home working arrangements apply)

Salary: £19,291 per annum, increasing to £19,667 upon successful probationary period.

Hours: 37 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm

Days: Monday to Friday

The Role

Main duties of the role include:

* Supporting the Senior Finance Officer in delivering the company’s financial services.

* Supporting the Senior Finance Officer (Purchase Ledger) in the processing of high-volume invoices in preparation for payment via Sage 200

* Distributing remittance advices to Suppliers

* Dealing with payment queries from Suppliers

* Supporting as needed, in the payment of Invoices and wages using the Pre-Paid Card Portal (EML)

* Uploading funds to service user’s personal pre-paid cards (via Allpay) on a daily basis

* Assisting with the quarterly payroll invoices/statements and suspension letters

* Dealing with general telephone and email enquiries

* Updating and maintaining relevant excel databases, general filing and archiving

* To provide, as necessary, any other duties as required within the scope and responsibility of the role

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

* Experience of working in a finance or accounting environment

* Ability to input and maintain accurate data records

* Ability to manage workload effectively

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (including Word, Excel and Outlook)

* Excellent telephone manner

* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

* Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines

* Hold minimum GCSE Grade 'C' or equivalent in English and Maths

* A qualification in bookkeeping or accounting would be desirable

* Knowledge of Sage 200 would be desirable
