The Finance Manager will be working as part of the senior management team for the our client and business partner across the Parent Company/Group. The successful candidate will have full ownership of the day-to-day running of the finance department.

Our client is a specialist manufacturer and installer of specialist products which are used across a range of exciting industries. The company is a subsidiary of a well-respected parent group where the role will work closely with. Our client is a based in Glasgow an have access to free parking facilities.


The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

Full responsibility for all aspects of the day-to-day running of the finance function, taking a hands-on approach;
Integral member of the management team, inputting to the operational and strategic decision-making of the business;
Preparation of the monthly management accounts and investigation / explanation of variances arising;
Management of the nominal ledger, including review of balance sheet reconciliations;
Comparison and investigation of actual versus standard job costings. Previous experience of long-term contract accounting would be beneficial;
Preparation of forecasts and annual budgets, including profit & loss, cash flow and balance sheet forecasts;
Review of financial systems and reporting requirements;
Management of foreign exchange exposure and arrangement of letters of credit;
Preparation of quarterly VAT returns (including intrastat returns);
Preparation of annual statutory accounts;
Liaison with external Auditors.Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

Qualified CIMA/ACCA (or other recognised accounting qualification) or qualified by exp;
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;
A self-starter with an ability to take responsibility and work alongside other operational staff;
Proficiency in Advanced Excel is essential, including use of Pivot Tables and Vlookups;
Knowledge of Sage is desirable.Job Offer

This role will offer a competitive salary between £45,000-£50,000 plus benefits
