We are looking to recruit full time, permanent Factory Operatives to join the team at Dorst Foods, Shaftesbury

Dorset Foods is focused on the savoury egg and cooked cocktail sausage categories and has its own specialist manufacturing facility and development team.

The business strategy is strongly focused on innovation and reinventing the Scotch egg category. Most recently, this has resulted in the ability to maintain a runny centre in a warm-serve, cooked egg product, which has initially been brought to market by M&S.

Dorset Foods is home to the recently developed Scrummy Egg brand, which will encompass a family of products that are based on this unique ability to produce a runny or soft-set-centred boiled egg that maintains this quality even when re-heated.

The business supplies Scotch egg products into Asda, M&S, Tesco, Morrisons and the convenience channel.

We are looking for skilled and knowledgeable Production Operatives and Machine Setters to join us at Dorset Foods on a permanent basis.

The successful post holder will be required to work on weekly rotating shift (Monday to Friday) 06:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 22:00. This is 36.25 hours per week. Overtime is available.

Relevant training will be given, therefore all we require is:

Excellent written and spoken English

Numerical ability to record and analyse data

IT literate (MS Office tools)

Attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure are a must along with being hard-working, reliable and being able to work as part of a team.

An understanding of Basic Hygiene and Food Safety would be advantageous but full training will be given to successful candidates.
