Michael Page is working with working with a Lincolnshire based FMCG business to recruit an Engineering Manager. This food based organisation supplies it's product to major retailers across the UK and is part a larger international food group which is recognised worldwide.

Description

The Engineering Manager will form a crucial part of the leadership team at this well-known manufacturing company. They will have responsibility for the entire site engineering function to maintain all assets to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and deliver maximum volume at the right quality.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

Manage, lead and mentor a team of c7 engineers
Develop, Lead & Implement the Site Asset Care Plan including designing & implementing an effective maintenance solution. Use and develop AGILITY to schedule and manage the operational maintenance and engineering resource plan at site
Effective delivery of Site Capital Projects – time, cost, quality
Ensure that business systems being used effectively to develop a planned maintenance strategy
Drive the site reliability agenda including completion root cause analysis (RCA) processes and drive / deliver the agreed actions to deliver key maintenance KPI's
Knowledge of site hazards and controls and ensure health and safety adhered to
Develop the capital plan for the site and manage site projects
Support the development and delivery of the Health and Safety and Environmental plans for the site to improve HSE performance, SML audit scores and increase team involvement.Profile

HNC in Engineering or similar
Demonstrable experience in leading projects including budgetary implementations
Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple engineering activities through to successful completion at the same time
Experience in managing, training and coaching engineering teams
Experience of CMMS
Knowledge and experience in applying continuous improvement tools and experience in lean principles and applications
Experience in leading equipment reliability improvements in a high volume, FMCG manufacturing facility
Experience of Health and Safety leadership and driving operational improvement
Understanding and experience of auditing processesJob Offer
