This is a unique opportunity to work for a successful training company who deliver a wide range of vocational programmes to both young people and adults.  As an Employer Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for building relationships with businesses to carve out career opportunities for learners and participants of these training programmes. These might be work experience placements, apprenticeships or full employment.  Think of it as a free recruitment service!

Purpose of the role
To engage with suitable businesses throughout the South Yorkshire region to source and secure new work experience placements, apprenticeship vacancies, and employment opportunities for participants of a range of employment-related training programmes. Including Traineeships, Apprenticeships and Adult Education Budget (AEB) coures.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing of potential new employers who can offer suitable work experience placements and employment opportunities, in-line with the Centre, learner and programme needs of the Centres being served.
Maintain relationships and regular contact with current employers so new placement and positive destination opportunities can be gained and shared with the Employer Relationships Coordinator for follow-up.
Support the Employer Relationships Co-ordinators to ensure their effectiveness and productivity.
Respond actively to the sector requests for placement and positive destination opportunities provided by the Centres in accordance with the vocational qualifications being offered and needs of the learners being served.
Provision of daily, weekly and monthly reports to reflect performance against set company key performance indicators.
Liaise timely with Employer Relationships Co-ordinator as new opportunities become available to trigger pre-vet visits and completion of Health & Safety paperwork.
Share details of all opportunities for placements and/or positive destinations with the relevant Employer Relationships Co-ordinator(s) to aid successful matching of learners to opportunities.
Attend local business networking events as part of the sourcing of new employers and opportunities.
Maintain updated knowledge of the local labour market intelligence and LEP priorities for the region and use these to inform opportunities sourced.
Attend and actively participate in morning briefings and other meetings as directed by Operations Manager.
Keep abreast of changes in the education sector including funding, and the local area including DWP changes.Required Skills

Experience of funded training programmes aimed at 16-24-year-olds or un employed adults
