Step Teachers are looking for a Design Technology Teacher located in Great Yarmouth for a full-time role until Easter. The role will not include woodwork or food tech.

The academy is a “good” Ofsted-rated school whose pupil’s achievement has risen since the school opened. The senior leaders routinely monitor the progress of the students who are at a disadvantage and provide intensive support for those who need it most. Behaviour is good and pupils are respectful and courteous towards staff and their peers.

Strong Design Technology curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4


Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed


Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable


Ability to assess and report on your students when required


Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons


Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively



Hold QTS or the equivalent of


Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Design Technology


A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
