Dental Nurse
Three experienced and highly professional dental nurses with a talent in client care are sought after for a Liverpool city centre based dental practice.

The role

To perform high quality dental nursing and assistance for each dentist, hygienist and therapist in all dental procedures in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC requirements
To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team, including: assisting with the supervision of trainee dental nurses in the Practice, assisting at the reception and performing other clerical duties if required, and liaising with the Business Manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions
Set up and prepare the surgery before the start of each session according to what client and treatment is planned, this includes preparing the necessary materials and instruments
Clean and sterilise all equipment and working surfaces to the required standards at the end of each session, additionally, ensure safe disposal of sharps and cliental waste
Process, mount and store dental radiographs and assist in the correct procedure for dental radiography
Provide cliental assistance to the dentist, hygienist, therapist while treating the client, acting under his/her supervision
Continually interpret the needs of clients, dentists, hygienists, and therapists and deal with them promptly and efficiently
Assist the dentist, hygienist, and therapist in the completion of client records
Monitor and maintain stocks within dental surgery as necessary, informing the Business Manager and liaising with the dentists over necessary orders and warning of any shortages of materials in the stores
Ensure that all necessary laboratory work is returned and ready for each session
Report equipment failures or breakages to the Business Manager
Assist in all clerical and administrative duties as required by the Manager
Perform any other tasks are reasonably requested by the Principles
Identify your training and development needs and undertake appropriate training as required and agreed with the Business Manager and the Principles
Comment on performance of trainee dental nurses
Escort clients from the waiting room to the surgery, confirming the medical history is up-to-date and warning the dentist [hygienist/therapist] of any problems that he/she has noted
Provide a first-class concierge customer service to all clients
Liaise with your Manager over future appointments for each client
Make sure all client areas are maintained and clean
Perform chaperoning duties for dentists, hygienists, therapists when treating clients
Follow all practice policies and procedures
Obey all dental ethical guidelines including all rules on confidentiality
The duties of a dental nurse are to go above assisting the dentist and cleaning instruments. When there are no clients, the time should be used to catch up on cleaning the treatment rooms, aspirating tubes, doors, door handles etc. The treatment rooms should always look immaculate The Dental Nurse requirements

At least 1 year of experience working as a dental nurse
You must have excellent customer service skills, as this role relies heavily on high class client care. When the client has been dismissed, they must feel we did everything possible to make them comfortable. The dental nurse is an integral part of this function in that they spend a lot of time with the client.
Training will be given for both health treatments and aesthetic treatments
Must be GDC registered
Must have Enhanced CRB
Experience in compliancy is advantageous

Salary: £17,500 – £25,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 1-hour lunches (unpaid)
