Are you looking for an incredible opportunity to work in a public sector organisation as a Senior Information and Cyber Security Analyst This position requires a hardworking and enthusiastic candidate with previous experience providing specialist expertise on information and cyber security to defend internal networks within this educational facility starting ASAP, paying up to £51,000 per annum!
The Senior Information and Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for the day to day operational and technical management of information and cyber security issues, including responding to security incidents, addressing security vulnerabilities, supporting critical IT platforms, monitoring, and driving compliance with policies. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the internal cyber security systems meet the needs of the organisation.
Cyber Security Analyst Responsibilities:
*You'll be responsible for the overall day to day technical and operational management of cyber and information security within the education facility.
*Oversee the management of patching, vulnerability analysis and penetration testing of internal IT systems, as well as monitoring the cyber incident response platforms.
*Design, implement, and support technical security controls to defend internal IT systems (both internally and cloud hosted) against security threats and to address specific security challenges across the University.
*Assess security infrastructure, network, and systems design to evaluate and identify security risks, threats and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives and ensure overall system / network security.
*Conduct assessments of existing and new software deployments, whilst continuously looking at ways to mature the internal processes and improve the services.
*Develop the knowledge and capability across the board to identify and consider cyber security and information management issues within projects and research, education, and operational business as usual activities.
This role will be offered initially as a 12-month fixed term contract with a possibility of a permanent role at project completion.
