Board Administrator

Role overview

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Board Administrator to help support governance members with high quality minute taking and coordination of meetings.  The ideal candidate will already come with experience in professional minute taking and will want to put this expertise to good use for a well-established charity supporting women and children in Wolverhampton.

Due to both the nature of our services and the sensitive nature of this position, you will always ensure confidentiality and professionalism.  You will work at your own pace and have excellent communication and organisational skills.  You will provide members of the board with information requests to help them fulfil their Governance responsibilities.  You will be expected to meet deadlines and be the main contact for board members for any administrative and information requests.   

We are looking at an average of 5 hours per week.  This has been calculated on the number of meetings scheduled for 2023/24.  A calendar of meetings is planned for the year ahead.  However, since this position is new, we will monitor the weekly hours on a regular basis to ensure we have this correct.

Location: Wolverhampton – Hybrid – option of working from home and head office and various locations for meetings.
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 5 hrs per week (average per week over 52 wks – may be more/less hours some weeks depending on committee and board meetings
Salary: 25,000 pro rata
