Our client is looking to employ an Assistant EHS advisor to support the current Lead Environmental Advisor and the wider Regional HSEQ Team in developing and implementing environmental mitigations throughout the design and construction of projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that relevant legislation is adhered to, in addition to assisting in the planning, implementation, monitoring and review of HSE strategies.

The ideal candidate will have an inclination for determining and recommending environmental improvements and innovation. You will liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders and therefore must be an effective communicator with excellent presentation and report writing skills.

Key Responsibilities

* To Assist Site Delivery Teams to comply with environmental requirements and sharing of best practice

* To assist wider HSEQ team on environmental matters, including supporting the preparation for external audits

* To support with the preparation of Environmental Performance Reporting for management Review Meetings

* Monitor and review environmental performance data to drive improvements

* Support the HSEQ Manager during incident investigations, providing insights on relevant improvements that are required

* Undertake joint site inspections and audits with the wider Regional HSEQ Team members.

Skills and Experience

* Sound Knowledge and understanding of ecology and pre-construction screening

* Affiliate or Associate IEMA or equivalent qualification is desirable

* Environmental degree is desirable

* Experience of on or off-site support in construction, infrastructure or associated industries

* Good communicator with basic presentation and report writing skills

* Competent in Office 365 with PowerBi and PowerApps desirable

* An excellent team player and effective communicator
