Platform Resourcing are currently working with a leading manufacturing company who are looking to expand their team by taking on an Area Sales Manager (South East).

Area Sales Manager Benefits:

Salary of up to £56,000 dependent on experience with yearly salary reviews
Yearly bonus – 10% of annual salary paid every April (£5,600 min)
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
Hybrid working after training complete (2 full weeks in St Mellons with their technical team)
Company Car (Audi, will be changing to Tesla shortly)

Gain opportunities via the main contractor framework partners to influence the client specification and contracts, managing and implementing the process
Work with the support of the Business Development team in developing market opportunities, identifying trends, and researching industry related events and publications
Ensure exposure to Procurement Managers of the framework partners with involvement in specific networking on a monthly basis
Monitor progress on relationships with existing main contractor partners, recording all information against KPI's in the Group's CRM system
Gain market intelligence for forthcoming potential pipeline opportunities against KPI's
Visit main contractor framework partners with the Group Sales Director to raise awareness and profile of the business and develop future relationship opportunities
Support the UK Business Development Manager and Sales Director in specific agreed targeted markets and development activities
Bid for key projects and contacts
Target and develop close relationships with major local Welsh projects
Provide weekly reports on activity and success against KPI targets
Prepare and share monthly partnership spend reports with the UK Business Development Manager and the Finance departmentEssential Experience/Qualifications

Experience within a Construction or Building Product Manufacturing specifically within a senior Sales role.
Ability to promote technical products, learning a vast technical product knowledge.
Experience of producing quotations for large project and negotiating costs within budget
Able to build strong lasting relationships with contacts to ensure repeat business
Experience of applying for large or national bids and tenders
Experience of targeting large businesses and organisations for new business as well as effectively managing existing business to maximise business potential
Excellent customer service skills and strong communication both written and verbal
Computer literate, able to update internal systems and CRM
Knowledge of SAP is very desirable Privacy and General Data Protection Policy
