One of Vivid Resourcing's local authority clients in Merseyside are looking to hire an experienced disabled facilities grants surveyors on at least a 6 month contract to help them deal with a backlog of cases that has built up over recent months.
In order to be considered for this role you must have previous experience with the whole grants process, including the initial survey, feasibility, drawing specs, dealing with external contractors and stakeholders.
AUTOCAD experienced is desired but access to your own software is not as the council can provide this.
Other main responsibilities include:
Managing the provision of Disabled Facilities Grant to social housing stock
Completing surveys of properties
Managing works in progress
Interpreting architectural drawings and structural reports
Assessing the condition of properties utilising HHSRS
Implementing policies and procedures relating to the provision of disabled facilities grants/ aids and adaptations
Required qualifications and experience
Experience in the inspection of premises and production of statutory notices, schedules of work, technical reports and plans
Sound knowledge of building construction practices and procedures
An understanding of Disabled Facilities Grants
Working knowledge of Auto CAD is advantageous but not essential
