Role: Academic Mentor NTP
Location: Manchester
Salary: £70 – £90 per day
Start date: As soon as possible
Contract type: Full time roles
The role of an Academic Mentor NTP is a varied one as you will be working within whole class environments and with smaller groups. You will be responsible for working with class teachers to ensure that the school environment and teaching is accessible to all students and working closely with students in the classroom setting to facilitate access to the learning. The role will be working with students to help identify ways to raise their achievement; supporting the needs of each individual will be the key to success. You will meet regularly with the leads to discuss strategies and interventions.

We are looking for a self-motivated Academic Mentor NTP who will satisfy the following criteria:
• Ability to use a variety of teaching and learning methods
• Able to plan and implement well-structured lessons
• High expectations of self, students and staff
• Ability to implement, monitor, and evaluate the curriculum
• Must be able to recognize discrimination in its many forms and willing to put the institution’s equality and diversity policy into practice
• Must satisfy relevant pre-employment checks like having an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) statement will be obtained for the successful applicant
• Must have a graduate degree in a core – subject like science, maths, English or humanities.
