TimePlan are working with an SEN School in Chichester who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant. Do you have experience working with vulnerable people? Are you enthusiastic, passionate and resilient? Are you looking for a new role? This might be just the role for you!

The school:

The students have a variety of additional needs such as autism, physical disabilities and emotional behaviour disorders, and thus require 1:1 support for most pupils. The school facilities are second to none and specifically designed to support every students learning. The staff are fantastic and very supportive, creating a very warm and welcoming environment for any new starters.

The role:

We are seeking someone who has experience of supporting children or service users with additional needs, to be able support a child on a 1:1 basis. If you have experience from the social care industry and are looking to move into education, this opportunity will have numerous transferable skills and is worth applying for. This is full time, 8.30am to 4pm daily; Monday to Friday. This is on a long-term basis, but the school will consider a permanent contract for the right person!

All applicants will need to have had some experience working in an SEN environment with children or adults!

Rate of pay – £65 – £75 per day (Depending on experience)

Hold a current and clear DBS or be happy to pay for one to be processed.
Excellent practitioners who strive to understand the students they are working with
Able to take the initiative to develop good professional relationships and liaise with others
Positive with energy and enthusiasm for their role
Confident managing behaviour
